The group’s name derives from the Altura Park location where ensemble rehearsals take place.The group always consists of string players (Toby Vigneau, Double Bass),generally joined by winds (Kevin Vigneau, Oboe and Anastasia Samsel, Flute) and in this next PAS concert, a pianist (Judith Gordon). During this concert, ensemble members will connect with the audience by sharing insights about the music being offered. The concert will open with an introspective work by contemporary Southwestern composer David Dean Mendoza, and include works by Erwin Schuloff, Camille Saint-Saëns, Giovanni Bottesini, Johann Sebastian Bach, Charles Loeffler, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, and will conclude with the New Mexico Premiere of Concertina da Câmara Quartet by Sérgio Azevedo.
