Dinah Dozier is a retired family therapist living in
Placitas.
Dinah says: “I love experimenting with new tech-
niques & materials to create abstracts that are
pleasing to the eye. Historical costumes in Asian dra-
mas often inspire a color palette.”
Growing up in New Mexico, Linda has always been fascinated by
the blending of ancient cultures. The future beckons brightly to
her through images from NASA’s space telescopes. Now, with
the next chapter of private space exploration developing
rapidly, Heath has been inspired to create a new type of art
called “Fusionism”. Fusionism is a new art movement that blurs
the lines among different cultures, fuses old and new painting
media, and mixes human with computer-generated work.
Linda says: “I find spiritual inspiration through my art. May you
also let this wonderful universe touch your soul today.”
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Larry worked variously as a
zookeeper, a waiter, a bookkeeper, and other assorted endeav-
ors; traveled around the world on the cheap; and began his first
novel. He managed a commercial photography studio, spent 5
years as volunteer and development coordinator at the Ameri-
can River Conservancy, and then 20 years as a technical editor in
environmental analysis. In 2021, he moved with his wife Dana
from California to Placitas. He is working on his eighth novel.
Larry says: “In my photographic work I look for glimpses—of
light, of tension, of emotion—that might reveal something I (or
my viewer) may have never before quite seen; moments that
reside in the spaces where language and reason don’t reach.”
Kiln-formed glass is Linda Novy-Doll's encore career and
passion. After retirement, she began her pursuit of art,
which included color theory, painting, and eventually
kiln-formed glass. She fell in love with the complexity of
glass which includes heat, chemical reactions, design,
form, and color. All of her work is unique and one-of-a-
kind. Linda is a perpetual student and continues to
expand her knowledge.
Linda says: “I strive to create kiln-formed glass that is
unique, colorful, and elegant. Artistry and functionality
are key elements. My glass artistry is constantly evolv-
ing through education and experimentation.:
